Legal Information, Counselling and Support to Persons in need of international protection in Greece

Aims: To ensure the respect of the fundamental rights of refugees through a project that will support asylum seekers and persons in need of international protection by providing them with the protective services they deserve.
Activities:
  • Provide Individualized legal support
  • Provide assistance to facilitate access to and continuation of the asylum procedure including registration of asylum applications and preparation for interviews, memoranda, appeals, subsequent applications, family reunification procedure through Dublin III, applications for annulment, etc.
  • Coordinate and provide support to the legal aid team in Lesvos, receive referrals for cases transferred to the mainland for follow-up of cases and in order to pursue strategic litigations when this arises.
Results: Persons in need of international protection gain access to the rights enshrined in national and international protection. Provision of legal aid to persons likely in need of international protection.
