THOSE WHO SURVIVED – Stories of dignity (Greece, 33min, 2016)

SYNOPSIS

Many of the thousands of persons, who were forced to migrate, are victims of torture; the most vulnerable of all. They were tortured in their countries by the most rough and unspeakable ways. They managed to escape from their persecutors by risking everything and they endangered their lives again in order to seek refuge in the gates of Europe. Murat, Zan and Ali, who have become “invisible” among the crowds of the Greek capital, are faced with a new challenge. They have to convince the authorities for their stories having as only proof their own testimonials and their bodies, they have to set start a new life from zero and to be healed.
