“Children-refugees out of school: The school community looking for solutions”

 

The online round table “Children-refugees out of school: The school community looking for solutions” was completed on Tuesday, 20 April, with more than 400 participants. The event was organized by the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR) in collaboration with the organization of the Civil society. ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth, Changemakers Lab, DRC Greece, PRAKSIS, SolidarityNow, Terre des hommes Hellas and the support of Save the Children.

The event was coordinated by Vasiliki Katrivanou, Coordinator of GCR’s Social Services Unit and was live streamed on the Facebook page of each organization. It was greeted by Alexandros Koptsis, Secretary General at Primary, Secondary and Special Education of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs while eight speakers with a strong background in education communicated their experiences, difficulties and the current situation in the education of refugee children.
