In 2015 World Jewish Relief launched an emergency response, meeting the urgent humanitarian needs of refugees in Greece. Over time, it became clear that many refugees would remain in Greece indefinitely, and needed support with long-term challenges such as finding employment.
World Jewish Relief partnered with the Greek Council for Refugees to set up the Cosmos Hub Employment Programme, to equip refugees with the skills and networks needed to integrate into society, find employment and become self-sufficient.
The programme provides a range of services, including Greek and English language training, CV writing support, and connecting refugees with local employers.
