The aim of the project is to reduce the illegal detention of asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Europe, mainly targeting the main host countries of the European Union.

  • Research and registration of detention and reception conditions for asylum seekers through visits to detention facilities and conducting interviews with detainees.
  • Update each country's profile on the issue of detention and reception conditions.
  • Participation in meetings and trainings with institutions with the aim of exerting institutional pressure.
  • Submit cases to international courts, with the aim of putting pressure on governments and the EU to stop illegal policies and practices.

The results of the research and interviews conducted in the 4 countries are presented in a report. This research aims, in addition to informing, to use as a tool for further advocacy actions.
