Objectives Free legal aid and representation of persons of concern in the various stages of the procedure of asylum, to ensure rights of those applying for  protection are respected and access to procedures to all persons in need of international protection are provided.
Activities:
  • Legal counselling and advice on asylum procedures and rights provided to persons seeking protection, Legal counselling and advice provided by 6 full time qualified lawyers in Athens, 3 junior lawyers, 2 lawyers in Orestiada, 1 lawyer in Alexandroupoli and 1 lawyer in Thessalonica.
  • Provision of protection information and advice in a language understood by the person of concern, through interpretation services,
  • Ensuring / providing legal representation in 1st, 2nd instances of the Government procedure,
  • Counselling finally rejected asylum seekers on further legal remedies.
